Three residents of the weird, wonderful world of Zarkana, the latest epic spectacular from Cirque du Soleil, were enticed away from their home at Radio City Music Hall by a delicious dessert debut. On June 22, the Zarkana Sundae was unveiled at New York sweet-ery and ice cream parlor Serendipity 3, and Sleepy Clown, Dame Plume & Ti-Boss were on hand to check out the kooky concoction. The splendor of Radio City is echoed in the dish’s art deco-style red goblet, filled with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, drenched in white and milk chocolate sauces, piled with whipped cream, dusted in edible pixie dust and topped with a black & white Zarkana cookie encrusted with sugar rubies. Adding to the mouth-watering whimsy are a red sugar rose and life-sized gummy eyeballs, a two-foot long gummy snake and a black balloon cloud topper. Check out this eye-popping tribute dessert, then head to Radio City to see the show that inspired it!
